The Rotary Club of Halifax Northwest has one fundraiser that supports all of its ongoing activities.  Every Tuesday a group of enthusiastic volunteers gather at Hand in Hand Board Room and being the exciting task of counting toonies to determine the prize pot for the week.  Between our volunteer locations, drivers, toonie counters and recorders, we spend approximately 4 hours to organize all the support we receive from the general public.  It's fun and the time flies by quickly!

In April 2016, we selected our recipients for the next two years.  We regularily support these seven groups:

  • The Boys and Girls Club in Spryfield
  • Shelter Nova Scotia
  • Family SOS
  • The Urban Farm and Museum Society
  • The Jost Children's Centre
  • Chebucto Minor Hockey Association
  • Chebucto Family Centre

We also support one off contributions to organizations in the Spryfield Area that make requests to our Rotary Club.  To make a request, you can contact us through the contact page on this site or through our Toonies for Change website at www.tooniesforchange.com.

Would you like to be a volunteer with Toonies for Change?  We would love to have you!  Contact us through either method listed above to let us know you want to be involved in our efforts to make a difference in Spryfleid.

Meanwhile, we encourage you to get to know the recipients of our fundraising efforts.  Their daily work in Spryfield is making the community better for all that live there and we are happy to support their efforts to support the community.  Click on the logos below to learn more about each organization and to visit their websites.
